# Invite a user

> Add a new team member to your Oviond account.

Invite a colleague to collaborate on reports, connect data sources, or manage clients. The invitee receives an email with a link to accept the invitation, set a password, and sign in.

Inviting users requires admin access — only users with **Admin access** can invite, edit, or remove team members.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Users">
    From the sidebar, go to **Settings → Users**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Click Invite user">
    This opens the invite panel.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Enter their full name and email">
    Type the person's full name and email address. The invite link goes to this address, so it must be a real inbox.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a permission level">
    Under **Permission level**, pick the access level that fits their role:

    * **Admin access** — full access to all features, including billing and team management.
    * **Client access** — can view projects assigned to them.
    * **Read-only access** — can view their assigned clients but cannot make changes.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Assign clients (Client and Read-only access only)">
    For **Client access** and **Read-only access**, an **Assign clients** field appears. Select which clients this user can access. **Admin access** users see every client and don't need an assignment.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Send the invite">
    Send the invitation. The invitee receives an email with a link to accept it and set their password.
  </Step>

<Note>
  Invited users have no password until they accept the invitation. They set one when they complete sign-up from the invite link. Until then, they appear in your **Users** list as not yet verified.
